Mac Miller Hit With A 10Million Dollar Lawsuit
Ouch, Lord Finesse is suing Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller in 10million dollars worth of damages. According to Finesse, Mac Miller has failed to give the Bronx native rapper his “credit” on his song titled “Hip 2 Da Game.” Mac Miller freestyled over Finesse’s track “Hip 2 Da Game” and renamed it “Kool Aid And Frozen Pizza” which was featured on his mixtape “KIDS” (Kickin’ Incredibly Dope Sh–) which was released in 2010. According to Mac Miller, Finesse and Miller exchanged words on the phone and everything seemed to be fine between the two rappers. According to the filing the Court House news service reported “This is a case about a teenage rapper — Mac Miller — copying the music from a song written, produced and performed by Lord Finesse, a hip hop legend, changing the title and then distributing it under his own name in order to launch his music career,”. Give Mac a break Finesse, samples and freestyles play a major factor in the Hip-Hop community. Do you feel Mac Millers intentions were to use Lord Finesse in order to boost up his career even though his track was a freestyle? Let us know.
